Crankshafts VHM
VHM crankshafts are manufactured using the finest steels available on the market, machined and ground with CNC machines and heat-treated. Unlike the original crankshaft, the VHM heat treatment involves the entire crankshaft, ensuring unmatched strength and stiffness. Thanks to this construction technique, VHM crankshafts last much longer and withstand more connecting rod replacements.
Each application and use requires a specific engine power curve, which is obtained by adjusting balance and inertia.
Lower inertia results in greater engine responsiveness and improved acceleration. This feature is recommended for short and slow tracks.
Higher inertia reduces responsiveness but ensures better over-rev and a smoother power curve.
Generally, higher inertia provides more consistent thrust, better traction, and stronger pull during gear changes.
For each motorcycle model, VHM produces a crankshaft with the most requested inertia characteristics.
