Vertex 2-stroke pistons are gravity cast from an aluminum alloy containing 18% silicon and coated with molybdenum disulfide (MOS2) over the entire piston body to facilitate break-in and reduce wear.
Each piston comes complete with rings, wrist pin, and clips.
The pistons are always offered in the Replica version, which fully complies with OEM specifications, and, where available, in the Race version (a cast piston made with Vertex technology) and the Race Evolution version (a forged piston made with Vertex technology).
