SHAFT RESTORATION

In the case of crankshafts with worn or damaged connecting rods, we offer a rod assembly service to restore perfect functionality of the component.

Once the new connecting rod is installed, the crankshaft will be perfectly centered to ensure ideal alignment between the main bearings.

2T CRANKSHAFT ROD ASSEMBLY

Removal of the old rod and centering of the shaft to restore perfect geometry.

The process involves removing the old connecting rod by pressing out the old pin on a dedicated support.

After pre-mounting the new rod, crankshaft centering is performed.

Centering ensures micron-level alignment between the two crank webs so that the hubs are coaxial with an admissible tolerance of 0.01–0.02 mm.

Each time a connecting rod is replaced, this process restores the perfect geometry of the assembled shaft.

SHAFT CENTERING

Verification and correction of alignment after seizure or engine damage.

Crankshaft centering is recommended after seizures or engine damage, for shafts that do not require rod replacement but need verification of perfect alignment.

2T LAMINATED CRANKSHAFT ASSEMBLY

Specific service for shafts with sheet-metal crank webs.

Some Honda CR125 and CR250 models feature crank webs covered with sheet metal.

This makes the pressing and centering phases extremely complex, requiring special rectified pre-assembly jigs.

The operations are the same as for 2T assembly, but times and costs differ due to the increased complexity.

4T CRANKSHAFT ROD ASSEMBLY

4T rod replacement with correct alignment of lubrication holes.

As with 2T crankshafts, the process involves removing the old connecting rod by pressing out the old pin on a dedicated support.

During pressing, special attention must be paid to aligning the lubrication holes in the crank webs.

After pre-mounting the new rod, crankshaft centering is performed.

Centering ensures micron-level alignment between the two webs so that the hubs are coaxial with a tolerance of 0.01–0.02 mm.

CRANKSHAFT CENTERING RESTORATION

Restoration of centering to recover perfect crankshaft geometry.

Crankshaft centering is a key step in restoring the original geometry.

Once disassembled, each web is individually reworked and its centering restored.
